Just Live It — book cover
ABOUT THE BOOK

Everything George has ever taught a pro,
scaled down for the rest of us.

Just Live It is a short, direct field guide from a coach who has spent twenty-five years at the highest levels of professional bodybuilding — and just as many years studying medicine behind the scenes.

Written for the reader who doesn't want to compete, but does want to stop feeling worse every year. The principles that took Dexter Jackson to the Mr. Olympia stage are the same principles that will get a fifty-year-old off three medications. Conservative. Measured. Repeated long enough that it matters.

"I wrote the book I wish someone had handed me at twenty-five. A short one, because the people who need it don't have time for a long one."

— GEORGE FARAH

"The honesty is the value."

I've read the big longevity books. This one doesn't try to be them. It's a coach with twenty-five years in the trenches telling you what works and what he wishes he'd stopped doing sooner.

"Short enough to finish. Dense enough to matter."

Read it in a single afternoon and went back through it with a pen the next morning. The chapter on bloodwork alone paid for the book twice over.

"A working plan, not another pep talk."

Most fitness books read like motivational speeches. This reads like a protocol. The training and nutrition chapters are structured the way a serious coach would actually give them to you.

"I'm fifty-eight. This didn't patronize me."

Too many health books treat anyone over fifty like they've already lost. George doesn't. The aging chapter is the first one I've read that felt like it was written for someone still in the game.

"Bought for my husband. Stole it back."

He trains, I don’t. I started it expecting to skim. Ended up highlighting half of chapter six. The sleep chapter changed something in our house we’d been arguing about for two years.

"Finally a bodybuilding coach who talks like a doctor."

George is one of the few voices in the fitness world who actually has the medical chops behind the mouth. The blood panel chapter is worth the cover price alone.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A coach. An author.
The subject of a film.

George Farah immigrated from Lebanon in 1987. In 1997 he survived being shot twice in the back during a robbery; in 2017 he was given a thirteen-percent chance against stage-4 cancer and beat it. Between those moments — and ever since — he has spent twenty-five years coaching some of the most recognizable names in professional bodybuilding, from Dexter Jackson's Mr. Olympia era to Blessing Awodibu's Indy Pro in 2023.

George coaches a global roster of serious athletes through Team Guru — his system, his standards, his coaches. Just Live It is his first book; the award-winning documentary The Guru (Amazon, 2024) chronicles the rest.
